Summary: | For some time now there has been a dispute about the parallel existence of the General Federation of Protestant Churches in Germany and the United Protestant-Lutheran Church in Germany. The creation of the United Protestant-Lutheran Church in Germany was based on the rejection of the union in Prussia during the 19th century. Between 1933 and 1945, the German Lutherans emphasized in their stance against heresy and tyranny that all orders of the church should originate in the confession of the church. This is why they established a denominationally homogeneous church for all of Germany when a new church structure for German Protestantism became necessary between 1945 and 1948. |
