Description
Summary:This article reflects implications of the 'evolutionary epistemology' for religion and theology, especially in regard to the concept of 'truth' as an assimilation of reality for the emotional and rational desires of the mind. The author asserts that a transcendent way of thinking is indispensable to prevent life from becoming meaningless, which would entail fatal consequences for human survival. The author also shows that the commandment pertaining to the universal love of mankind and other fundamental precepts contained in the gospel cannot be substantiated rationally by ethological considerations.
