Description
Summary:The 'Israel' of the Old Testament is not the prerequisite but rather the result of the history of Israel. In the beginning was the Monarchy, and with the Monarchy was Yhwh. After 720 B.C.E. 'Israel' became a people without a state, the people of Yhwh and the father of Judah. And only after 587 B.C.E. did the name come to epitomize the one nation of the twelve tribes from Israel and Judah, ruled by the one God.
