Summary: | This article aims to discuss the way the millenarianist perspective shape the notions of time and mission of the Jeohova’s Witnesses. Based on an ethnographic method combined with the review of the literature, this text call the attention to the discussion involving the Jehova’s Kingdom. The iminent instauration of a new Kingdom is what stimulate a sense of urgency in preaching, molding the consciousness and awareness of time. It is the expectation that creates in the group the need of reassurance of their beliefs, as they believe to live in the “last days”. |
