Description
Summary:Ambassador Akbar Ahmed is a prolific writer and scholar at American University in Washington, DC. He is widely considered to be one of the leading authorities on helping non-Muslims better appreciate the contemporary Muslim world. Ahmed's most recent book, Journey into America, continues the theme of his previous book, Journey into Islam. Both books are an eclectic compendium of observations (including a few pages explaining what Ahmed calls the Girls Gone Wild phenomenon) across a wide spectrum of common themes., The issues raised cannot be more important. There are as many as seven million Muslims living in the United States, and their neighbors need to learn more about Islam and the experience of their fellow citizens who are Muslims.
