Summary: | One of the latest posthumous collections of essays and lectures by John Howard Yoder, The War of the Lamb: The Ethics of Nonviolence and Peacemaking, is edited by Glen Stasson, Mark Thiessen Nation, and Matt Hamsher., First, I want to make a note about the introduction. In addition to providing an account of the selection of essays and lectures within the volume, Glen Stassen's introduction provides a strong hermeneutical framework through which he believes these essays should be read. As the title, “Jesus is No Sectarian” not so subtly suggests, with this collection of essays, Stassen wants to refute readings of Yoder's work that would hint of a removed Christian sectarianism disengaged from the cultural climate. |
