Summary:This most recent addition to the Congress Volume series represents the product of the nineteenth meeting of the International Organization of the Study of the Old Testament, held in Ljubljana in 2007. As is usual, the volume comprises the invited lectures delivered at the Congress, in this instance numbering 31, covering a range of topics and employing a wide spectrum of methodologies., The volume is bookended by lectures relating to the versions: ‘Transmission of Semitic Forms of Biblical Proper Names in Greek and Latin Linguistic Traditions’, by the Organization President, Jože Krašovec, and discussion of the viability of analysing the theological tendencies of the LXX by Johann Cook (‘Towards the Formulation of a Theology of the Septuagint’).
