Summary: | Jean-Yves Lacoste is probably still best known to British readers from his three-volume Encyclopedia of Christian Theology (2005) translated from the French original Dictionnaire critique de théologie of 1998. Consisting of over 450 entries, quite a few by Lacoste himself, it is to his credit that of the 250 or so other contributors employed many were drawn from beyond France, including a significant number of Anglophone scholars, among them David Burrell, Brian Daley, Andrew Louth, Bernard McGinn, John Milbank, Oliver O’Donovan, Jean Porter, and John Webster. |
