Description
Summary:This work is ambitious for its scope, yet many of its features are much needed in the burgeoning literature surrounding talk of the Christian understanding of atonement. The book represents a second generation of sorts for a peace perspective on the matter, one that has been long associated with Denny Weaver. The advantages of Belousek’s contribution in this regard include the nuanced evaluation of relevant secondary literature (including Weaver and many others both in and out of the peace perspective) and especially the inductive weighing of biblical materials that are often cited in such discussions.
