Description
Summary:I am reduced almost to silence. The volumes, beautifully printed, are massive. I should never have dreamed that one man’s writings could generate so much analytical description. I did not receive the first, which must have explained the procedure to be followed, nor volume 5: just as well, for my house could not contain them. Herein all, or at any rate all worth specifying, nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs appearing in Gregory are listed, translated into German, explained, and located in context. What devotion on the part of the editors and compilers! What a loving sacrifice of industry! It is simply amazing. There is now no excuse for misunderstanding or misquotation of the sainted author.
