| Summary: | To the series, ‘Blackwell Companions to Religion’, of which over 20 have already been published, has now been added a ‘Companion to the New Testament’. It consists of 38 articles by 34 well-established scholars (the editor contributes five, as well as an introduction to the whole book), most of them from the United States. Nearly half of the articles are concerned with questions of method and current research; the remainder are introductions to individual books of the New Testament (or occasionally groups of books), with a concluding article on New Testament Apocrypha. |
