| Summary: | This is a collection of nine articles, planned as a successor to the 2006 volume New Testament Manuscripts: Their Texts and their Worlds. What we have, according to the Introduction, is ‘a set of studies that specialise on certain features of early Christian manuscripts’ (p. ix). The contributions are as follows: , A study of the task of reconstructing fragmentary manuscripts, by Thomas Kraus. The study proceeds by examining some test cases, the Manchester fragment of John (P. Ryl. Gr. 457, Gregory–Aland P52), a Psalms fragment (P. Rain. Cent. 24), an unidentified text (P. Merton II.51), the fragment often associated with the Gospel of Peter P. Vindob. G. 2325, on which Kraus has written on other occasions, P. Oxy. IV. |
