Description
Summary:This book complements the Teststellen in the Text und Textwert (= TuT) volumes ANTF 26–31, and is intended to demonstrate the potential influence of textual parallels on the creation of variants. Thirty-eight parallel pericopes in the Synoptic Gospels are presented plus three others (two from John, one from 1 Corinthians). Servus centurionis is one of three Q passages1 (the others being the one-verse Regula aurea and Petitio efficax, to use the headings here taken from Aland, Synopsis2); two passages are in only Matthew and Mark (Spinis coronatur and the long story Quattuor milia saturantur)., These parallels are set out in 14 sections (or 15 if we separate duo caeci [Aland pericope number 96] from Bartimaeus vel duo caeci [264]) with subjoined apparatus.
