The book is a detailed study of the religious texts published between 1553 and 1558, its findings arranged according to theological themes of revelation, soteriology, ecclesiology, sacramental theology, piety, and eschatology. It gives a meticulous account of the works in question whilst at the same time locating them firmly in their historical context.
