Description
Summary:This beautifully presented book has been a joy to read and to review. Until now, those wanting to read Damascius’ Problems and Solutions have needed to use Ruelle's two-volume Greek critical edition (1889), Chaignet's 1898 three-volume translation into French (reprinted 1964), or Combès translation, also into French, of Westerink's three-volume Greek critical edition, completed in 1991. Ahbel-Rappe bases her translation on the latter. This publication is the first ever translation into English, very conveniently in only one volume.
