Description
Summary:This book is the fruit of long and dedicated engagement with the Didache. It is based on sound scholarship and wide research, but is not intended as a contribution to academic research in itself. Nevertheless it is very illuminating. It is intended to guide and stimulate study of the Didache, and draw messages from it for Christian living today. There are no footnotes. But there are references to a substantial list of books and articles for ‘further reading’, where the basis in research, chiefly very modern, can be found. The chapters conclude with a new English version, the further reading, and a modest subject index.
