Description
Summary:The first volume of Pope Benedict XVI’s book Jesus of Nazareth was published in 2007. It was not written in the idiom of dogmatic theology, rather in an amalgam of those of a theologian and of a conductor of retreats. It was, in other words, the work not just of a pastoral pope but of Professor Joseph Ratzinger, late of the University of Tübingen. The essays collected here arise from the prompt initiative of the Centre of Theology and Philosophy at the University of Nottingham in holding an international conference on the book in June 2008. The papers there delivered make up most of the contents of this book.
