Description
Summary:Frederick Danker’s name will be known to all students of the New Testament and early Christian literature for his work in the 2000 revision of the classic Lexicon of the New Testament and other related literature, originally published by Walter Bauer (and, prior to Danker’s work, translated and edited by Arndt and Gingrich). That work is, however, regarded as a work for specialists, and many feel daunted by its size and scope. Danker has here produced a much more compact work, aimed (according to the dust jacket) at ‘ministers, seminarians, translators, and students of biblical Greek’. The present volume is not just an abridgement of the fuller Bauer Lexicon, nor is it a revision of another small-scale dictionary.
