Resumo: | Seldom have I so quickly developed such a strong love–hate relationship with a book. On the one hand, this book is magnificent, the compilation of the fruit of many decades of scholarly labour, a veritable cornucopia of textual information on all the so-called ‘biblical’ scrolls from the eleven caves at and near Qumran. The book contains transcriptions of the texts of those so-called ‘biblical’ scrolls, all that have been published in the Discoveries in the Judaean Desert (DJD) series since the 1950s, especially in several volumes in the last fifteen years, as well as those published elsewhere. |
