Summary: | The fact that this book was submitted belatedly [2009] to the reviewer needs not be of harm. Written mostly during the eighties and nineties of the last millennium, it has retained its value to scholarship. Still today, ethics is of pivotal significance for theological discussions and thus J. Rogerson’s theses have not lost in importance. Rogerson’s student M. Daniel Carroll R. has perpetuated his thoughts in a collection of 15 studies, some published, some yet unpublished. A brief ‘preface’ by the editor outlines the ‘personal context’ of Rogerson’s ethics. It is followed by a detailed ‘introduction’, again composed by the editor, which interrelates the contents of the discrete studies. |
