| Summary: | Thesecartae from the Carthusian general chapter, relating to the province of Tuscany, are not, as we might expect, edited transcriptions, but photographic/reprographic reproductions of two manuscripts, which appear to have been made from microfilms. They were formerly conserved in the charterhouse of Ferrara, but are now to be found in the archives of La Grande Chartreuse. These particular cartae, for the years 1555–8, 1562, 1569, 1570, and 1572–4, are offered as a supplement to material for the province of Tuscany in Grenoble Bibliothèque Municipale MS 439 and Grande Chartreuse MS 1 Cart. 19, which covered the years 1557 and 1560–75 (see Analecta Cartusiana, 100: 40, 2007). |
