Description
Summary:This volume comprises twenty-two essays of varying length by Moshe Weinfeld pertaining to the Hebrew Bible, Second Temple Judaism, and Early Christianity, which, when viewed together, are rather more wide-ranging than the title suggests. The contents, which seem to have been published originally between the mid-1970s and mid-1990s, are presented under four subheadings belonging to the book’s four parts., Part 1, ‘Prayer and Worship’, is the longest section of the volume and contains nine studies on aspects of Jewish liturgy in the light of parallel evidence from the Ancient Near East in general and Qumran in particular.
