Description
Summary:This welcome commentary from Paul Joyce makes accessible a review of the many studies and critical approaches to the book of Ezekiel which have appeared during the past two decades. Although originally planned for a commentary series, this volume is an independent study—a feature which has the merit of avoiding the strong level of editorial supervision and direction which colours some series. However, the complement to this aspect of publishing policy is that most recent commentaries follow well-established formats, with most of the questions discussed and differences of detail determined by the degree to which familiar translations of the text are used or are supplemented by a level of textual information which most readers will not need.
