Description
Summary:English-speaking scholarship on the Apocalypse, vibrant though it is, has not always been cognizant of developments in the non-Anglo-Saxon world. This English translation of Edmondo Lupieri's fine commentary, originally published in the series Italian Texts and Studies on Religion and Society, opens up trends in Continental European, and especially Italian, scholarship to a wider audience. Besides exposing us to his own views, Lupieri's volume engages important Revelation scholars such as Giancarlo Biguzzi, Eugenio Corsini (already familiar through an English translation of one of his books), and Ugo Vanni as dialogue partners alongside those more familiar in British and North American circles., The format and content of the commentary is determined by the series for which it was written.
