Summary: | In spite of the twenty-three years since it was first published, the author has chosen not to rewrite her book. Instead, the original 1985 edition has been reprinted with corrections of minor mistakes. In addition, there is a foreword by D. N. Freedman and a preface to the revised and expanded edition followed by a new introduction with some additional bibliography, by the author.
