Description
Summary:The Feminist Companion Series, beginning with a ten-volume series on the Hebrew Bible edited by Athalya Brenner and published by Sheffield Academic Press, has long provided an arena for focused essays applying to specific texts the various methods and reading styles that come under the broad umbrella of ‘feminist approaches’. Amy-Jill Levine has overseen the extension of the remit of the series into the New Testament and other early Christian literature and themes, bringing together essays published elsewhere as well as new work, often specially commissioned. The current volume is perhaps intended to complete the New Testament—it is not evident whether a specific volume on Revelation is envisaged.
