Description
Summary:ThisRépertoire is the latest successor to Bonifatius Fischer, Verzeichnis der Sigel: Kirchenschriftsteller, first published in 1949. Roger Gryson alerted us to the forthcoming fifth edition in the Vetus Latina Bericht of 2006, and suggested there (p. 34) that the former subtitle of the Verzeichnis, namely Repertorium scriptorum ecclesiasticorum latinorum (saeculo nono antiquiorum) would become the main title. In the event the fifth edition has adopted a French title. The register itself uses German and French. Introductory matter is in both languages, including a reprinting of Fischer's Einführung from 1963, now in second place (!), following the French translation on pp. 15–29 (pace the reference given on p. 30).
