Description
Summary:This rich Festschrift contains contributions from nineteen international Qumran scholars. Katell Berthelot (‘4QMMT et la question du canon de la Bible hébraïque’, pp. 1–14) argues that the much debated phrase ‘the book of Moses, [and] the book[s of the pr]ophets and Davi[d’ in the final part of MMT does not constitute a reference to the tripartite canon but refers to Deuteronomy, 1 Samuel – 2 Kings (possibly also Jeremiah), and the book of Psalms. She convincingly concludes, moreover, that these works are referred to on the basis of their content rather than their status.
