Description
Summary:This monograph argues a ‘maximalist’ view of how much of the poetic oracles and especially the prose ‘sermons’ in the book of Jeremiah can be attributed to the prophet himself, as against the ‘minimalist’ view argued by such scholars as the late Robert Carroll, who limits the information which the book offers concerning Jeremiah to a few narratives, and rules out any chance of finding any ipsissima verba of the prophet in the oracles and prose addresses.
