Description
Summary:Katharina Schütz Zell (1497/8–1562) was closely involved in the Reformation in Strasbourg, and was one of the women of the Reformation to leave a legacy of written theological reflection. That the number of such women is larger than commonly supposed is indicated by the extent of the series in which this volume occurs: recent volumes of ‘The Other Voice in Early Modern Europe’ include English translations of Vittoria Colonna's evangelically influenced ‘Sonnets to Michelangelo’, of the theological writings of the Genevan Reforming nun Marie Dentière, and of the ‘Life’ of the German Pietist Johanna Eleonora Petersen.
