Summary: | This volume brings together twenty years of Duval's research on the Christian communities of North Africa, particularly in the mid-third century during the time of Cyprian. While the first chapter, on the distribution of African churches, is an unrevised reprint of an article that first appeared in MEFRA in 1984 (some revisions are offered in the next chapter), the remainder, though based on her recent articles (mainly in REAug), presents a revised discussion, from a thematic rather than chronological perspective, of institutional themes relevant to the Cyprianic correspondence. |
