Description
Summary:Twelve years after the final part of his three-volume commentary on the Gospel of Luke appeared in the WBC series, John Nolland has now published an almost equally voluminous commentary on the Gospel of Matthew, the fruit of a decade-long research which the author undertook and completed while also serving as academic dean of his institution (Trinity College, Bristol). This is the thirteenth volume to appear in the NIGTC series, thereby completing the work on the synoptic gospels (see R. T. France on Mark and I. H. Marshall on Luke)., The first thing the reader will notice when browsing through the 1,500 or so pages are the very long, almost exhaustive, sections of bibliography.
