Summary: | This collection of essays is in many ways a tribute to the late Colin E. Gunton. Not only is the work dedicated to his lasting memory but the essays themselves were first delivered at a conference he helped organize for September 2003, one he was unable to witness given his untimely death in May of that year. The work represents an effort that is very much within the spirit of Gunton's theological legacy: reviving a neglected or apparently unviable tenet of theology within the contemporary climate. In the case of this work, the issue at stake is the person of Jesus Christ. |
