Description
Summary:Edited, expertly translated here for the first time into a modern language, introduced, and adequately, if sparingly, annotated are two fairly short pieces ascribed by the sole manuscript that contains his surviving writings to the ‘all-wise master and monk Leontius of Jerusalem’. The introduction says concisely what Professor Gray wants the reader to know by way of background if the texts are to be appreciated properly. That appreciation will not be won easily, for post-Chalcedonian debates over Christology in the patristic period make unusual demands on the patience of those who study them.
