Summary:Scholarly studies on Hilary of Poitiers have been greatly augmented by the production of this three-volume translation and annotation of the so-called De trinitate libri I–XII (volume 3 of which was reviewed in JTS, ns 54 [2003], pp. 321–3). It is truly a collaborative project, being the amalgamated efforts of six scholars, partly because of the gaps created by the deaths of two of the contributors (J. Doignon and G. M. de Durand). M. Figura and J. Doignon wrote the introduction, the translation was the combined work of de Durand, Ch. Morel, and G. Pelland, and the notes were supplied by Pelland. Since the Latin text used is substantially that of P.
