Summary: | These two substantial volumes, curiously both entitled Volume I, of the Concordance of the Non-Biblical Scrolls are the first in a planned series of three concordances to be followed by a concordance to the biblical texts from Qumran and to the texts from other sites in the Judaean Desert, respectively., The comprehensiveness of the work is impressive. It covers all non-biblical texts including a small number not yet published at the time. In a few cases the editors even prepared their own transcriptions in order to be able to include a text. |
