Description
Summary:Although much has been written on Kierkegaard's views on ‘the ethical’, Evans points out that, ‘Not much attention has been given … to Kierkegaard's meta-ethical views, his understanding of the foundations of ethics’ (pp. 5–6). It is Evans's contention that Kierkegaard has an important contribution to make to the divine command theory of morality, that is, the view that moral obligations are best understood as having their foundation in the ethical commandments God has given to human beings.
