Besides showing a deep understanding of the biblical text through the use of etymological and grammatical explanations, his commentary is characterized by an encyclopedic approach, introducing all branches of human knowledge, such as astronomy, astrology, mathematics, philosophy, into his exegesis of the text., Mariano Gómez Aranda's edition of the Job commentary has a threefold structure. In the introduction, he gives a detailed analysis of the history of interpretation on Job, i.e.
