Description
Summary:This volume is a well-deserved, second Festschrift in honour of the distinguished Czech scholar Petr Pokorný: the select bibliography of his works, including some 12 authored or edited volumes and 57 articles (plus numerous reviews, mostly in TLZ), gives ample testimony to his scholarly activity, which was also recognized in his election to the Presidency of SNTS in 1994–5. Despite the title of the collection the range of subjects covered is quite wide, but the editors detect a certain unity in their relationship to different aspects of Pokorný's work in New Testament history and interpretation. There are 21 contributions, of which five are from scholars working in Eastern Europe and the remainder come from the rest of Europe and North America.
