Summary: | This collection is presented as papers from a conference held in Münster in the first week of 2001. It contains eleven contributions, along with a preface, bibliography, and indexes. The conference, organized by NOSTER, was part of a programme of collaboration between the organizers, the Protestant Faculty in Münster, and the University of Leuven. A striking and welcome feature of the meeting was that it included textual critics of the New Testament, Josephus, apocryphal texts, and rabbinic texts. Thus, while not having a range of scholarship beyond religious texts produced over a period of rather under a millenium, it provided a good opportunity for comparison of methods and problems beyond the scope of any one interest represented. |
