Description
Summary:François Bovon of Harvard Divinity School (and previously of the University of Geneva) is best known for his work on Luke, his interest in the early church, and his innovative studies on the non-canonical Christian literature commonly called the New Testament apocrypha. The present volume collects together 22 articles (all but one previously published) divided into three sections which cover those interests: Part I: Luke–Acts (seven articles); Part II: New Testament Theology (five articles); Part III: Apocryphal and Patristic Literature (nine articles). The new article, ‘The Apostolic Memories in Ancient Christianity’, serves as an introduction to all three sections. There are three sets of indexes.
