Nach Berücksichtigung der Platzierung des Buches Jona im OG Zwölfprophetenbuch, untersucht dieser Beitrag vier solche Fälle und die Gründe, warum sich die Übersetzung von MT unterscheidet. Während sich normalerweise das OG Jonabuch und das OG Zwölfprophetenbuch nach ihrer Vorlage richten, zeigen frühe Manuskripte, dass dieses Werk mit einer noch größeren Genauigkeit zum hebräischen Text laufend überarbeitet wurde. Although the Old Greek (OG) translation of the Minor Prophets typically adheres closely to the Masoretic Text (MT), at several key instances in the book of Jonah the translator introduced notable changes to the text. After considering the placement of Jonah within the OG Minor Prophets, this study examines four such cases and the reasons why the translation differs from MT. While OG Jonah and OG Minor Prophets otherwise usually follow their source text, early manuscripts show that this corpus was subject to ongoing revision toward even greater fidelity to the Hebrew text. |
