Summary: | Forthose interested in theology and literature, 1984 was an important year in a German speaking context. Walter Jens, Hans Küng and Karl-Josef Kuschel invited theologians, literary critics and writers for a conference on theology and literature to the University of Tübingen, a conference with a lasting impact on the field for a number of years. In 2004, Georg Langenhorst and Erich Garhammer were invited for a similar conference to the University of Würzburg. Garhammer's and Langenhorst's edited volume, Schreiben ist Totenerweckung, brings together work presented at this conference. This stock-taking of theology and literature in the German-speaking world is complemented with Langenhorst's own work, Theologie und Literatur: Ein Handbuch. |
