Nele Dilthey apresenta o desenvolvimento da arte da interpretação desde a antiguidade, passando pelos estudos religiosos e literários e alcançando os inícios da modernidade. Ele descreve opapel de autores centrais durante este desenvolvimento, mas o acento é colocado em Schleiermacher como uma figura chave na direção da elaboração de uma hermenêutica geral. Embora escrito como descrição de um desenvolvimento histórico, o texto apresenta elementos importantes acerca das idéias de Dilthey a respeito da epistemologia nas ciências humanas. Here we have Diltheys famous text on the history of hermeneutics in a translation into Portuguese. In it he presents the development of the art of interpretation since antiquity, passing through religious and literary studies, reaching as far as the eve of modernity. Dilthey describes the role of major personalities in this development, but the main focus is put on Schleiermacher as a key figure leading to the goal of a general hermeneutics. Although written as a description of an historical development, the text shows important elements about Dilthey's ideas on epistemology in the human sciences. |
