Description
Summary:This article considers the ways in which individual religious experience may be made manifest to others. The author suggests three ways in which this can occur: the description of a religious experience, the interpretation of a religious experience, and the effect on the life of those who have experience. Each of these features, the article contends, may be observed in the life of Karl Barth. The article explores how Barth's religious experience as a young child may been seen as especially formative and fundamental to the life and works of Barth.
