Language, Imagination, and the Status of the Human Embryo

The use of language in moral and legal discourse on the status of the human embryo has itself developed into an important moral issue for both ethics and law. A related question, whose relevance is not limited to bioethics, is the role the imagination plays in moral reflection and decision making.
