| Summary: | O presente trabalho estabelece um estudo da narrativa ficcional borgiana acerca do budismo, levando em consideração as refutações do real, do eu e do tempo, que se fazem presentes, mais especificamente, na narrativa do conto que nos propomos analisar: “As ruínas circulares”, extraído do livro Ficciones (1944). Para tanto, retomamos as considerações do próprio Borges no ensaio intitulado Buda (1977), cuja crítica reporta ao imaginário mítico das lendas e narrativas sagradas do budismo, sob o viés da estética do fantástico. The Article analyses some presuppositions in the Jorge Luis Borges’ ficcional narrative about the buddhism, emphasizing the negation of real, self and the time, as we find in the text “Las Ruinas Circulares” selected from the book Ficciones (1944).
