Description
Summary:The purpose of this article is to provide a window into a world that is invisible to most Christians and that is the world of people who live with a disability. Most of us will live our entire lives without having any personal knowledge about how this segment of our society lives. This essay is written in a conversational style designed to encourage you to be reflective about what it is you think about the differently abled, rather than as a theoretical treatise on who they are. I write from personal experience of having become aware of how lonely and isolated these people are, and then immersing myself into their world for many years. My goal for this article is that it piques your curiosity about what it would be like to befriend, and have a long-term intimate relationship with, someone I call the differently abled.
