| Summary: | The author seeks to rediscover how churches might practise healing inspired by the healing narratives in the Gospels. She argues that through uncritical acceptance of a modern western biomedical perspective, healing practices tend to be "unhealing" for people with disabilities. Looking at the Gospel narratives themselves, their context, and various hermeneutical lenses for interpreting the narratives, she proposes a new understanding and practice of healing. Die Autorin trachtet danach, einen Heilungsdienst für die Gemeinde wiederzuentdecken, der von den Heilungserzählungen der Evangelien inspiriert wird. Sie behauptet, dass durch die unkritische Annahme einer von der modernen westlichen Kultur geprägten, bio-medizinischen Anschauung die Heilungspraxis für Menschen mit Behinderung auf ein "Nicht-Heilen" hinausläuft. Im Blick auf die Erzählungen in den Evangelien selbst, ihrem Kontext und den verschiedenen hermeneutischen Betrachtungsweisen für ihre Interpretation schlägt die Autorin ein neues Verständnis und eine neue Praxis von Heilung vor. L'auteur cherche dans ce livre à redécouvrir comment les Églises devraient pratiquer la guérison en s'inspirant des récits de guérison des évangiles. Elle soutient qu'à cause d'une acceptation non critique de la perspective biomédicale occidentale moderne, les pratiques de guérison tendent à être contre-productives pour les personnes affectées d'un handicap. En considérant les récits des évangiles, et en appliquant diverses grilles herméneutiques pour leur interprétation, elle propose une compréhension nouvelle de la guérison débouchant sur une pratique nouvelle. |
