Description
Summary:This paper is dedicated to Diotima, the teacher of Socrates, and inspiration for a generative form of conscience. The much-discussed question «why is Diotima a woman?» is once more addressed following the key topic, the human conquest of good. The argumentation wants to show how Diotima’s knowledge moves along a boundary that does not coincide with the gender dualism and, instead, proposes a «feminine» way of mediation among opposite terms, together with an open and relational model if identity.
